The most common species in Avala, protected by closing season of hunting are: roe deer, rabbit, badger, squirrel, gray wagtail, goldfinch, white marten, partridge, wood pigeon, quail, forest snipe. Permanently protected species of wild game are: fox, buzzard, western marsh harrier, black kite, owl, cuckoo, hoopoe and others. The following game species are managed: roe deer, rabbit, pheasant and partridge. The wild boar is present here in small numbers and is considered a transient game.
